Actor who defied odds, Sidharth Shukla dies at 40

Actor Sidharth Shukla was always confronted with obstacles when it came to his work. For many in the TV and film industry, appearing on Bigg Boss’s popular program is a last resort – and often in vain – an attempt to tie the slide to no avail. But Shukla, who won the 13th edition of the show in 2019, became a household name, establishing himself as a real TV star.

The TV actor died Thursday morning from a suspected heart attack. He was 40 years old. The cause of his death is yet to be determined.

Shukla first became a TV sensation with his work in the drama Balika Vadhu (2012), in which he wrote about the role of Shivraj Shekhar, District Collector. For more than three years, Shukla played the character in an amazing response, winning many awards. Shortly afterwards, he was arrested for impersonating Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), and also gained fame.

Mumbai police said Shukla complained of chest pains at his residence in Oshiwara, Mumbai, around 9am, before collapsing.

Her sister, brother-in-law and mother were present at the time. The doctor who arrived at the residence found that he was not feeling well.

“The family called an ambulance and rushed to Dr RN Cooper Hospital,” he said. They arrived at 9:45 a.m. and were pronounced dead before being admitted. ”

Dr R Sukhdev, head of intelligence, confirmed that Shukla was killed Thursday morning. An autopsy was conducted in the afternoon.

Prior to the post-mortem examination, doctors and police found no injuries on his body. Dr Sailesh Mohite, hospital manager at Dr RN Cooper, declined to comment on the discovery.

Oshiwara police believe he died under natural circumstances. They have not registered a case or report of an accidental death.

Police said after going to bed on Wednesday night, Shukla woke up at 3.30am on Thursday and asked for water.

“Her mother was in the house at the time. He cried out of discomfort and after drinking water, fell asleep again, ”said a police officer.

However, after waking up in the morning, Shukla felt chest pains again. Her sister, who was in the house, called their family doctor. “The doctor was on his way to check his health. While she was drinking, Shukla fell and fainted. He died before the doctor arrived, ”added another police officer.

Shukla, who was born and raised in Mumbai, started as a role model by scoring second place in the Gladrags Manhunt and Mega model competitions, and later appeared in Bajaj TV and ICICI Bank TV advertising campaigns, among others. Shortly afterward, he made his debut TV with Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na, followed by a series of TV dramas including the crime drama CID and the horror show Aahat. She also won the Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2016.

Shukla was also a successful TV presenter, with shows such as Savdhaan India, and India’s Got Talent 6. His death left the TV and film industry shocked.

Actor Salman Khan, who presented the trophy to Bigg Boss, tweeted: “Siddharth, you will be missed soon”.
