iPhone 13 vs. 13 Mini vs. 13 Pro vs. 13 Pro Max: All the rumored differences

Apple’s next phone call, dubbed the iPhone 13, will launch on September 14 at the next tech giant event in 2021. We expect to see four models of the iPhone 13 next week: standard versions of the iPhone 13 with Mini, Pro and Pro Max. According to FCC’s updated MagSafe charger detected by 9to5Mac and MacRumors, Apple is identifying four new iPhone models alongside four iPhone “legacy” models: the iPhone 12 Mini, the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The layout of the four models of the iPhone 13 was predicted by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

While there are rumors that the iPhone 13 is mimicking the iPhone 12 system, Apple’s 2021 iPhones may have new design, camera and feature updates. The price may also be slightly higher than the iPhone 12 2020 models.

Regardless of size, last year’s iPhone and iPhone 12 Mini are the same. They share the same camera indicators and storage options, and both do not have the lidar scanner Apple installed on the Pro models. The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max also share similar features but have a few minor camera sensors and lenses. With the iPhone 13, however, we won’t know exactly how each model is compared until later.

Here are all the rumors we’ve heard about the iPhone 13 collection so far, and that we expect each model of Apple’s new list to be different from each other. Just know that there are no iPhone 13 specs certified by Apple yet. We will keep this story updated as we hear more.

Price: The iPhone 13 line may be the same as its previous cost

Like most details about the iPhone 13, the exact prices for the next phone list will no longer be revealed. But we think it can show off the price structure of the iPhone 12 list.

In Apple’s 2020 line, the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini phones are less expensive, with American prices starting at $ 799 and $ 699, respectively. The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max are considered to be Apple’s flagship models, and cost $ 999 and $ 1,099.

We expect the iPhone 13 Mini to be around $ 100 less than the basic iPhone 13, if last year’s price trend is a reflection. Similarly, the extra Benjamin will probably be the difference between the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, with prices also varying in size and storage size.

If the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are sold in line with the iPhone 12 line, prices will be the same as other high-end smartphone models like the Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra, which cost $ 1,000 and $ 1,200, respectively.

But Apple can also raise prices for its new system. According to an August report from DigiTimes, a major technology company is considering raising the prices of the iPhone 13 models to cover the additional cost of chip production at its TSMC provider. Apple supplier plans to increase costs by 20% of “advanced and mature technology processes” by January 2022, the report said. It is unclear whether this will affect the price of the entire list, or if the cost will be transferred unequally to all different phones.

Here are US prices for each iPhone 12 model, for reference:

iPhone 12 Pro MaxN/A$1,099$1,199$1,399

Design: All versions of the iPhone 13 can have a small notch

Each of the iPhone 13 models has rumors that it has a smaller tip than previous iPhones, according to Koo. Apple has included uninterrupted displays on individual smartphones since the 2017 iPhone X, as a phone selfie camera. Some parts of the design, however, may differ from each model of iPhone 13.

The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max can be bigger and have larger camera bumps than ever before. According to a May release from MacRumors, the durability of the camera can take into account possible camera improvements in Apple’s top models.

Changes to the camera setup design may have come with the iPhone 13 Mini as well. The presentation of the Mini model from leaker Sonny Dickson on Twitter in June shows two camera lenses found on the rock for each other, rather than one on top of the other like the iPhone 12 Mini.

By size, the iPhone 13 line should display the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The Dummy units of the iPhone 13 line, shared by Apple Insider, showcased the iPhone 13 Mini by 5.4 inches, the standard models and the Pro by 6.1 inches and the Pro Max measuring 6.7 inches by extension.

iPhone 13 Mini5.4 inches
iPhone 13 standard6.1 inches
iPhone 13 Pro6.1 inches

Display: iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max can get an upgraded rate

Kuo predicts that the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models will incorporate LTPO technology into their displays at a refreshing rate of 120Hz. Normal and Day varieties, however, may not have this feature. This could be a change from last year’s iPhone 12 line, which provided the same 60Hz refresh rate for each of the four versions.

While Apple is yet to add an upgraded price to its premium models, some high-end smartphones, including the Samsung Galaxy S21 and the OnePlus 9 Pro, have a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Camera: Will all models get a lidar scanner?

Apple’s new iPhone could see improvements in a number of cameras, especially the Pro and Pro Max models.

According to August Gurman of Bloomberg’s August report, the iPhone 13 could discover three new camera and video features: a video version of Portrait Mode, a high-resolution video recording option called ProRes and a new filtering system to enhance image visibility. Gurman speculated that ProRes could only be found for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max.

Earlier there were rumors that all future iPhone 13 models could get a lidar scanner, but a recent buzz from leaker Dylan on Twitter makes it clear that only Pro and Pro Max will have that technology. This could be the second generation of iPhones to include only the lidar scanner in its top models.

The scanner, which first appeared in the 2020 iPad Pro, can be seen on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The scanner is used to assist with autofocus and photography in low light. (You can also use lidar to measure your friends’ height at parties, which is cool.)

Battery: Each iPhone 13 model can increase the battery size

Each model on the iPhone 13 list could have larger batteries than the iPhone 12, according to a rumor from China’s social media platform Weibo in early June. The rumored battery specs, covered on 9t05Mac in June from a tweet by leaker @ L0vetodream, show the 2,406-mAh battery for the iPhone 13 Mini, the 3,095-mAh battery for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro and battery the 4,352-mAh and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

iPhone 13 modelBattery size
iPhone 13 Mini2,406 mAh
iPhone 13 standard3,095 mAh
iPhone 13 Pro3,095 mAh
iPhone 13 Pro Max4,325 mAh

Just note that, although the iPhone 13 line could house a larger battery than the iPhone 12, it’s possible that the boost in battery size will not directly translate to longer battery life, since battery life isn’t the same as battery capacity.

We won’t know exactly how the four upcoming iPhone 13 models compare until Apple unveils the new smartphone next week.
